Car waxing can prevent damage to the car paint. The precautions for car waxing include:

1. Waxing of a new car. After purchasing a new car, the paint surface has a good appearance, and waxing can effectively protect the paint surface from oxidation caused by ultraviolet radiation and protect the gloss of the paint surface;

2. To master the frequency of waxing. Due to different driving environments and parking locations, the time interval for waxing should also vary. Generally, there is a garage for parking. Vehicles that drive on good roads should be waxed every 2 months or so. Vehicles parked outdoors may have a slightly shorter interval due to wind and rain. Of course, this is not a mandatory requirement and can be adjusted according to the actual situation of the vehicle;

3. Before waxing, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the stains and dust on the exterior of the vehicle. Remember not to blindly use strong alkaline detergents such as dishwashing detergent and soapy water. Strong alkaline detergents can oxidize the paint surface, causing the car paint to lose its luster and rubber parts to age. It is recommended to use a neutral and mild specialized detergent, and after washing and drying the paint surface, wax it;

4. The car should be waxed in a cool place to ensure that the body does not heat up. Excessive temperature can cause the wax to dry too quickly, affecting wiping and subsequent results;

5. When waxing, apply an appropriate amount of car wax with a sponge block and circle it around. Generally, choose the appropriate area for waxing according to different temperatures. If the waxing area is too large and the time is too long, it may cause difficulty in wiping the first waxing part. Generally, after applying the wax layer evenly, wipe it bright with a new towel for 3-5 minutes.
